A Message from the Headteacher - 4th March 2014
As you know, over the half term holiday we had quite a lot of mopping up and sorting to do with the water leaks due to our lead being stolen. After our fund raising Non-Uniform Day, you generously donated £559 to school which will compensate the costs of our insurance excess and to replace the banner that was ripped off in the high winds. Thank you for your overwhelming generousity - it is really touching!!
This week it is our 'Reading Together Week' to coincide with World Book Day. We started the week with another Non-Uniform Day...but this one was to help celebrate the wonderful world of books. Each child in the school came dressed as a Book Character...and we had some lovely costumes in school!! Have a look at my Blog for the full story and all the photos of the week as it happens!!
...and on Monday 3rd March, Year 6 dressed up during their 'Goodnight Mr Tom' World War II day where they tasted some authentic food, did some dances to Glenn Millar and even had their hair and nails checked by a very strict Headmaster!! All the photos are on the Year 6 section of the class stories!!
Thanks for reading, yours sincerely,
Stephen B. Smith
OFSTED Inspection - December 2013
As you well know...on the 4th and 5th December we were visited by two Ofsted Inspectors.
The main headline is that Tarleton Holy Trinity CE Primary School is a GOOD SCHOOL – it’s official as OFSTED say so.
This recent inspection at the beginning December judged us to be ‘Good’ in all aspects: Achievement, Teaching, Behaviour and Leadership. A full copy of the report can be downloaded from the Ofsted Section of this website.
It is a report to be very proud of...with my favourite quote being:
'This school lives its mission statement of ensuring all pupils and staff are valued and respected'.
Do you like to read?? What do you like to read??...and where do you do your reading??
Have a look at some of our 'Extreme Readers'...can you be found reading in a more stranger place??
A Brief note about our School
We have a very successful Breakfast Club and After School Club housed on site.
Judged by OFSTED as a good school, we offer a creative curriculum based very much on outdoor learning.
Our website is under development and has two purposes:-
...all at the touch of a few keys!!
We hope you will find this site useful...and I'll be asking you as to your thoughts about our website as it 'evolves'!!
Please note that all the significant school policies are available to view on this website, and this includes our new School Prospectus and our Pupil Premium Statement. All our latest Policies etc. can be viewed by 'clicking' the policy 'pencil' although one or two policies are still on other pages!!
