Are You Applying for a Primary School Place for September 2015??

Please note that if you have a child who will be 4 years of age between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014 then you must apply for a primary school place by Thursday 15th January 2015. This is a national statutory deadline and late applications will not be dealt with alongside those which have been received by 15thJanuary 2015.

Late applicants may therefore be disadvantaged in terms of receiving an offer for one of your preferred primary schools. You are encouraged to apply on line at www.lancashire.gov.uk (search “School Admissions”) The system is easy to use, fast, secure and gives an e-mail receipt when you press the submit button to send your on-line application. All parents and carers are strongly encouraged to use all 3 x primary school preferences on their application.

A Message from the Headteacher -  15th December 2014

Hello everyone,

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who organized, helped, came or contributed in any way to the success of the Christmas Market. We had 500 people attending the market, which resulted in a grand total of £2,400 made on the day!!...and of course all the money raised is spent on the children of Tarleton Holy Trinity Primary School!! Thank you to you all!!

Last week we enjoyed three productions of 'Baubles'. They were all absolutely amazing with the children from Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 putting on 3 brilliant performances!! I must say a big THANK YOU to all the children and staff for their hard work and effort in making the performances such a success!

Thank you also to the parents who kindly donated just over £220 to the collection.  This will be split between the school and the 'Save the Children' Charity'. Thank you all for your generosity!!

Last Thursday we had a very lovely (and tasty) Christmas Dinner, with Turkey, Roast Potatoes and Christmas Pudding. The hall was full to capacity and the children and the parents and carers had a lovely time...finishing it all off with some Christmas Carols. Well done to Janet and her team in the kitchen for putting together such a lovely spread!!...photos  now on my Blog!!

...and just to remind you that school closes for Christmas this coming Friday (19th December), just after the End of Term Service in church. We start the Spring 2015 Term at 8.55am on Monday 5th January with the doors opening at the usual time of 8.45am.

The pupils, staff and Governors of Tarleton Holy Trinity CE (Aided) Primary School would like to wish all our parents and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Thanks for reading, yours sincerely,

Stephen B. Smith

A Brief note about our School

We have a very successful Breakfast Club and After School Club housed on site.

Judged by OFSTED as a good school in 2013, we offer a creative curriculum based very much on outdoor learning.

We have a proactive and supportive Governing Body and a busy Friends of the School.

Our website is under development and has two purposes:-

  • To provide information about our school for any parents considering applying for a place for their child.
  • To act as an information bank for our existing parents, to which they can refer for holiday details, copies of relevant forms and the weekly newsletter.

...all at the touch of a few keys!!

We hope you will find this site useful...and I'll be asking you as to your thoughts about our website as it 'evolves'!!

Please note that all the significant school policies are available to view on this website, and this includes our lastest School Prospectus and our Pupil Premium and PE Funding Statements. All our latest Policies etc. can be viewed by 'clicking' the policy 'pencil' although one or two policies are still on other pages!!
