A Message from the Headteacher -  27th May 2016

Don’t forget that today, we break up for our two week May Half Term. We finish at 3.25/3.30pm and then return to school on Monday 13th June at 8.55am with the doors opening at the usual time of 8.45am. Let’s hope that the sun is shining!!

We had a lovely Scarecrow Festival at the weekend. The Friends of the school organised yet another wonderful event which managed to get most of the village involved. Thank you to everyone who came - and a big THANK YOU to Tina Chapman and her team for putting together such an enjoyable day! So far the total raised for the day is £1,660...but there's more coming in!!

The Tarleton Ecumenical Walk of Witness (commonly known as Walking Day) takes place on Saturday, 11th June. We meet on the school field at 1.30pm and at 2pm we join in with a Short Service, before walking around the Tarleton Area. Once back at school there are teas and coffees on sale, there will be Morris Dances, Maypole Dances and a variety of races for the children to join in with. School uniform is not needed on the day...just come along and join in!!

As an early warning...we will be closing for an extra day on the 23rd June 2016 as the school is being used as a Polling Station for the EU Referendum. For all the dates for this term- and indeed the next year...click on the link on the left hand side of this page that says 'School Calendar'.

Have a good break!! See you in school on the 13th or around the village on the 11th!!

Thanks for reading, yours sincerely,

Stephen B. Smith

Did you know that in our most recent Parents' Questionnaire - 100% of returns stated that their child / children enjoys school!!

A Brief note about our School

We have a very successful Breakfast Club and After School Club housed on site.

Judged by OFSTED as a 'Good' school in 2013, and 'Outstanding' by SIAMs, we offer a creative curriculum based very much on outdoor learning.

We have a proactive and supportive Governing Body and a busy Friends of the School.

Our website is under development and has two purposes:-

  • To provide information about our school for any parents considering applying for a place for their child.
  • To act as an information bank for our existing parents, to which they can refer for holiday details, copies of relevant forms and the weekly newsletter.

...all at the touch of a few keys!!

We hope you will find this site useful...and I'll be asking you as to your thoughts about our website as it 'evolves'!!

Please note that all the significant school policies are available to view on this website, and this includes our lastest School Prospectus and our Pupil Premium and PE Funding Statements. All our latest Policies etc. can be viewed by 'clicking' the policy 'pencil' although one or two policies are still on other pages!!
