A Message from the Headteacher -  4th March 2015

Hello everyone,

We were in the papers again...both the Southport and the Ormskirk Champion. The article looked at how we are developing the Government's New Curriculum to become more 'hands on'!! Did you know it's the 27th time we've been in the papers since September 2013...not that I'm counting!!

Reading Together Week!!

This week we are holding a Reading Together Week, where the children will be taking part in a variety of reading and book related and activities. On Monday we ‘kick started’ the week with a 'Dress Up Day', and the children were asked to dress up as a character out of a book for the day....and they looked fantastic!!

...and during lessons on Tuesday an extra bell rang and everyone stopped to read...Mrs Feeney read my latest Newsletter, Janet and Ruth in the kitchen read today's recipes and the children got immersed in a variety of books.

Today and tomorrow the children and teachers will be moving classes and reading to each other!!

For all the Reading Together Week photos..have a look at my Blog!!

All the dates for this term have now been published...please look at Newsletter 16 or click on the School Calendar Pencil for all the dates from now until Easter!!

Even though the cut off date for Primary School places has been and gone... we will still, as always, be available to show people round Holy Trinity!! Just ring the school number and book and appointment...and don't forget to have a look at our Prospectus (just click on the Policy link on the right of this message)!!

Thanks for reading, yours sincerely,

A Brief note about our School

We have a very successful Breakfast Club and After School Club housed on site.

Judged by OFSTED as a good school in 2013, we offer a creative curriculum based very much on outdoor learning.

We have a proactive and supportive Governing Body and a busy Friends of the School.

Our website is under development and has two purposes:-

  • To provide information about our school for any parents considering applying for a place for their child.
  • To act as an information bank for our existing parents, to which they can refer for holiday details, copies of relevant forms and the weekly newsletter.

...all at the touch of a few keys!!

We hope you will find this site useful...and I'll be asking you as to your thoughts about our website as it 'evolves'!!

Please note that all the significant school policies are available to view on this website, and this includes our lastest School Prospectus and our Pupil Premium and PE Funding Statements. All our latest Policies etc. can be viewed by 'clicking' the policy 'pencil' although one or two policies are still on other pages!!
