A Message from the Headteacher -  22nd July 2016

We're nearly at the end of term...but still quite a few things to do:

We've got Sports Day, The Leavers' Disco, Prize Giving and of course our End of Term Service in Church...and tomorrow is the Church's Summer fair (have a look on this week's newsletter (38) for more details).

Our End of Key Stage Results are amazing - ones that the children, parents, staff and Governors should be very proud of. Have a look at Newsletter 39 to see what they are!!

If I don't see you before - have a safe and happy summer - recharge those batteries and we'll see you on the 1st September.

The children (and staff) had a wonderful sponsored ‘Workout’ a couple of Fridays ago with Sally and Cheryl from ‘Everybody Fit’. The Sponsor money collected so far has just topped £1,400…and we know that there is still some to come in.

We’ve always said that the money is going to a charity chosen by the School’s Council and is the International Needs Charity. Mr Marshall and members from the church that he attends are big supporters of this charity and is going to work for them during the summer holiday in Uganda. They will be putting in wells, building toilets and supporting schools and villages where the families are struggling to survive.

Have a look at my Blog for all the photos!!

Thanks for reading, yours sincerely,

Stephen B. Smith

Did you know that in our most recent Parents' Questionnaire - 100% of returns stated that their child / children enjoys school!!

News about Mr Baxter

Mrs Feeney and Mrs Cowburn went to see Mr Baxter two weeks ago. They said:

'David looked great today and it was such a lovely sight to see him sitting up. A great leap from when we saw him a few months ago! He's talking really well and looking like ' our David' ! Bless him. His swallow is much improved and he is back on normal diet.  He took a few steps too in physio today. Progressing slowly but surely . He's booked to go home on 19th July so I'm sure his strength and willpower will see his progress go from strength to strength...but still a long way to go.'

A Brief note about our School

We have a very successful Breakfast Club and After School Club housed on site.

Judged by OFSTED as a 'Good' school in 2013, and 'Outstanding' by SIAMs, we offer a creative curriculum based very much on outdoor learning.

We have a proactive and supportive Governing Body and a busy Friends of the School.

Our website is under development and has two purposes:-

  • To provide information about our school for any parents considering applying for a place for their child.
  • To act as an information bank for our existing parents, to which they can refer for holiday details, copies of relevant forms and the weekly newsletter.

...all at the touch of a few keys!!

We hope you will find this site useful...and I'll be asking you as to your thoughts about our website as it 'evolves'!!

Please note that all the significant school policies are available to view on this website, and this includes our lastest School Prospectus and our Pupil Premium and PE Funding Statements. All our latest Policies etc. can be viewed by 'clicking' the policy 'pencil' although one or two policies are still on other pages!!
