A Message from the Headteacher - 12th September 2016

Dear Readers,

This Friday (16th September) we will be attending church to join in with this year’s Harvest Festival Celebrations. This year we are asking for donations of foods which we will donate to one of our local Food Banks. Father Nicholas will be running the service, where all of our children will be involved in singing hymns, or reciting readings, poems and prayers. If you would like to join us in church for this special Celebration, the service will start at 9.15 and will last for about 45 minutes. All parents, carers, grandparents, family members, friends and Governors are invited to join us...See you there!! Please note that our new Reception children will not be joining us for the service.

The Food Bank website requests donations of the following foods (if you can manage it):

Tinned fish, tinned meat, tinned fruit, tinned vegetables, tinned rice pudding, tea, instant coffee, jam, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, biscuits or bags of sugar.

Unfortunately, Mrs Seeley is still suffering from the effects of vertigo and labyrinthitis and is not well enough to come back to school. Mrs Simpson will be looking after Year 4 in the meantime and we welcome back Mr Phillips who will be looking after Mrs Simpson's half of Year 5.

...and see below for the advert for our 'Interim Caretaker' position - the closing date in this Friday!

Thanks for reading, yours sincerely,

Stephen B. Smith

Did you know that in our most recent Parents' Questionnaire - 100% of returns stated that their child / children enjoys school!!

A Brief note about our School

We have a very successful Breakfast Club and After School Club housed on site.

Judged by OFSTED as a 'Good' school in 2013, and 'Outstanding' by SIAMs, we offer a creative curriculum based very much on outdoor learning.

We have a proactive and supportive Governing Body and a busy Friends of the School.

Our website is under development and has two purposes:-

  • To provide information about our school for any parents considering applying for a place for their child.
  • To act as an information bank for our existing parents, to which they can refer for holiday details, copies of relevant forms and the weekly newsletter.

...all at the touch of a few keys!!

We hope you will find this site useful...and I'll be asking you as to your thoughts about our website as it 'evolves'!!

Please note that all the significant school policies are available to view on this website, and this includes our lastest School Prospectus and our Pupil Premium and PE Funding Statements. All our latest Policies etc. can be viewed by 'clicking' the policy 'pencil' although one or two policies are still on other pages!!
